Mariner’s Wharf is Southern Africa’s first Harbourfront emporium, operating since 1984.

The Wharfside Grill is regarded as one of Africa’s best seafood restaurants. Wharfside Grill is renown for its authentic harbourside ambience and spectacular bay views. But because of the amazing food keeps people coming back.  The Grill serves delicious lobsters, mussels, prawns and innovations like Calaprawnia, Houtbaisse and Fisherman’s Baskets. Mariner’s Wharf is a perfect place for events with spacious seating more than 350 diners. But one experience not to miss is a a dinner in a private dining cabin.  Reserve of the six private dining cabins. Each cabin has a theme in honor of seafaring history and famous ships. The ships include, the Queen Mary, Shipwreck and those of the Union-Castle line which frequented the Cape. Mariner’s Wharf is also home to the Wharfette Bistro, for takeaways. The Fishmarket offers the freshest variety of fresh and frozen seafood including our famous smoked fish.  And don’t forget to stop at The Liquor Locker.  Choose from a wide selection of spirits, wines, and beers. Meander through the Shipwreck. The gift shop offers nautical artefacts and memorabilia.  Take home a souvenir from Mariner’s Chest or the Pearl Factory. Pick an oyster to find a beautiful pearl.
