The Lions Craft Market is 34 years old this year. It was one of the very early craft markets in Cape Town and has grown to a very popular tourist attraction over the years. Every Sunday (weather permitting) the crafters build up their stands early in the morning on the special market area next to the circle corner of Baviaanskloof road and Main road. The crafters are a happy-go-lucky bunch of people who have over the years become a loyal family amongst themselves and still give Hout Bay this typical country feeling.
The Market raises funds for a variety of community projects that the Lions Club of Hout Bay.
