The “Walk/Run/Ride 4 Animal Rescue,” is a national event for South Africa.” The Walk 4 Africa walkathon from Plettenberg Bay to Hout Bay Cape Town. The event is 01-27 September 2021, Tourism Month. The goal is to boost post-COVID-19 tourism recovery by fostering public wellness through outdoor participation. Fund raising benefits, the Garden Route SPCA and the Cape of Good Hope SPCA.After the initial event, it will become annual. The walkathon will include the West Coast, Langebaan to Cape Town. More Provinces will be added in 2022.
Together, Africa needs to boost both international and domestic tourism. Promote responsible tourism. Gather local research to protect our environment. With awareness, we can impact of pollution and climate change. Find new tourism opportunities; so we need to highlight our natural and cultural heritage. Sharing our stories globally, so people around the world can discover our the beauty of our country.
Walk 4 Africa is a non-profit organization. So, our members are from the travel trade, media, conservation, and environmental fields. All 40 African coastal countries and islands states participate. Our goal is to unite African nations. We can unite through responsible and inclusive tourism practices; and benefit local communities.
